~ A Trip To The Monastery~

On this Duckling Family Adventure, Momma Duck took seven of her twelve Ducklings to a monastery.

It was a beautiful place,

Peace full,

Quiet,
the solitude of the people who lived here showed in every step they took.
Here they could see how the monks were practicing.

The mere size of the sanctuary made even the tallest of the Ducklings (Duckling Seven)
feel small.

They saw a creche, very beautifully and meticulously placed.

There were crosses everywhere,
and the presence of God lived in every marble stone, it seemed.

The stained glass was breathtaking. Even the smallest Duckling held still and whispered.

After going as far as they could,

They braved the cold weather, and walked into the gardens.

There were many places where you could stop and pray, or simply sit and listen for God.

A new addition to the abbey was a Monastery Heritage Museum.

On their way to the van, they meet a pigeon bravely protecting his wife and young.

While the rest of the Ducklings walked around the gift shop, Duckling Six watched Duckling Twelve as she ran around.

The Ducklings had a grand time!

But they were all glad to warm themselves in the van, and eat a small snack before heading home.

Blessings! Abigail Joy.

~ A Trip To Chimney Park~

The other day, while the rain clouds rolled out and the weather warmed up, Momma Duck took seven of her twelve ducklings to the Book Home.

Behind the Book Home, they were delighted to find a pathway.

They followed the pathway until the end,

Where they found a park!

Complete with its very own Fairy Tunnel!

Littlest Duckling and Ninth Duckling loved this part most.

Then the Duckling Family found their way across a bridge,

But by the time they finished their walk, the two littlest (Ducklings Eleven and Twelve)
were  cranky, so they loaded up in their van, and rode along home.

I hope you enjoyed my (one of many to come, Lord willing) Duckling Family Story.
Blessings! Abigail.

~A Beautiful Love Story~

Genesis 2:15,18-25
"15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

Isn't that beautiful?
To me, that is the truest form of poetry.
God, in His Majestic Power, knew that man needed someone.
He knew that no animal, or food, job, or pastime, could fulfill the needs of man.
Only God could know who that was.
Woman.
Woven from Man.
 Bone of his Bone.
 Flesh of his Flesh.
His help meet.
His wife.
 His 'Other-half'.
Only God could understand how to fill that void.
Isn't that beautiful?
How God, in His Infinite Wisdom, could create a Love so pure, so strong,
that it has lasted through centuries.
But a much stronger Love, is the one He shows toward us.
Liar's
Scorners.
Hypocrites.
And, worst of them all...
Sinners.
A Love so strong, that He would send His only Son.

Is'nt That Beautiful?
